Meet Dr Robyn O’Grady

FRACGP, MBBS, BHSc (Nut&Diet) Hons. Founder of Thrive Women’s Medicine, and a GP with a special interest in perimenopause and menopause.

Her story

Why Dr Robyn started Thrive

Why Dr Robyn started Thrive

Why Dr Robyn started Thrive

Dr Robyn’s interest in menopause medicine came after watching too many women struggle to find the right care. Throughout her time as a women’s health GP, countless women travelled to see her, explaining they had felt unheard, dismissed, or given a quick fix. She firmly believes prevention is better than cure, and that many changes can be made during this crucial time to optimise health. Those conversations led her to develop Thrive Women’s Medicine.

In addition to her experience as a clinical and sports dietitian, Dr Robyn keeps a very active lifestyle and is a strong advocate for movement as medicine. Hormonal health does not exist in isolation. Sleep, stress, movement, gut health and nutrition all play a role in how women feel during perimenopause and menopause, and she takes all of it into account when building a treatment plan.
